We are producers of blends of Ayurveda and Mead (brewing of honey). The science of mead making is an ancient art and we are interested in renewing this ancient practice. Our company has carried out an extensive research of brewing and blending of meads and metheglins through brewing concepts of Ayurveda.

This concept of brewing began originally from India. The ancient Indian texts of Ayurveda like Charak Samhita, Bhavprakash and Sharangdhar Samhita have described brewing techniques which Maireya medlabs has adopted. The Western science of brewing mead and metheglins are very similar to ancient Indian traditions. In Ramayana, king Ravan in his book called Ravan Samhita has mentioned various techniques of brewing alcohol and its distillation techniques. The first reference of mead was found in Rigveda, the word ‘Maireya’ itself is a synonym of ‘Madya’ meaning alcohol.

Ayurveda is a very old science of medicines that deals with various preparations meant for maintaining the health as well as curing of diseases. Maireya Medlabs has put genuine efforts and come up with new blends and reinvented the ancient science of brewing, with the objectives of health benefits.
